Residential Bridge by J.W. Johnson
Our first custom bridge build! This is a 40' long and 10'6" wide, powder coated steel bridge. Underneath it has 6 beams that sit on concrete wing walls. It is engineer certified to support 100,000 pounds. That is about how much a semi truck hauling a dozer weighs. This project took 1 month to complete, we did tree removal and site prep for 2 weeks, 55 loads of chert were brought in. Concrete wing walls were formed and poured, we had to dance around rain drops during this time. The bridge itself took 2 weeks to fabricate, installing the bridge only took half a day, we were very grateful for how smooth it went! Then we top coated the road with crushed limestone, put riprap on the sides to protect against erosion when the creek rises in the spring.

Log Cabin Kitchen Remodel
Demolition of an existing kitchen in a true log cabin originally built in the 1970's and installation of a new kitchen! The log walls were a unique new challenge for installing cabinetry to. Extra wide panels were scribed to the logs and installed on the sides of the cabinets so the cabinets can sit level without showing the dips and valleys the round logs naturally have. A hole was cut into the 6" thick log to install a new hood that vented to the exterior, for the new range. The window over the sink was replaced with a larger window and under cabinet lighting included to create a warm low light relaxing atmosphere for early morning breakfasts or late night snacking!
